In 2015, the 2012 vintage of Intrigante entered the roll of honour of the Mondial du Merlot & Assemblages, the Swiss competition dedicated to Merlot and its blends.

This is a result to be read in the right way. Not as a label to show off, but as confirmation of precise work: that of a winery that chose to seek its own voice in Merlot, without chasing what has already been done elsewhere.

The award, presented before an international jury alongside established producers, gave visibility to a Swiss red wine bearing the Boldini Vini name, a winery tied to Lumino and Monticello.

A Merlot that invites conversation

Merlot is one of the great expressions of Italian-speaking Switzerland. It can be immediate or complex, soft or deep. Intrigante chooses its own character and doesn't try to resemble all the others.
