Il Querceto Riserva comes from Merlot vineyards at least thirty years old between Ascona and Locarno, on the Delta della Maggia: a selection that yields only nine thousand bottles a year. Twenty-four months of ageing in new barriques gives an intense garnet red with ruby highlights, with great aromatic intensity of raspberry and fresh blackberries, followed by toasted notes, sweet spice, an elegant floral character and a peppery undertone of liquorice.

Balanced, soft and complex, with a classy tannin that ensures great longevity. Ideal with well-aged beef, great semi-mature alpine cheeses, or Ticino pizzoccheri with game sauces.
