La Pernice is Cantina alla Maggia's rosé, inspired by the Provençal style: Merlot hand-harvested in early September in the sandy vineyards of Ascona, on the Delta della Maggia. Pale, luminous pink, it offers a nose of wild strawberries, raspberries and mandarin zest against a floral backdrop of wisteria.

Fresh and savoury, medium-bodied, with a pleasant citrus return on the finish. Ideal with pizza margherita, rice gnocchi with seafood, caprese salad or an oyster platter.
