L'Usignolo is the Merlot with which Cantina alla Maggia's winemaker tells the story of central Ticino's character every year, in the spirit of tradition and balance: grapes selected from the Sopraceneri vineyards, vinified into a fresh, elegant red suited to any occasion. Clear ruby with garnet highlights, it offers a nose of ripe cherry and fresh red berries, with light, well-integrated spice.

An immediately approachable wine, with light structure and tannin and restrained acidity. Excellent with risotto of mixed seasonal mushrooms, hand-cut beef tartare, lightly aged cow's milk cheeses, or simply as an aperitif.
